AffiliateFix 2015 Charity Sale Results
1 in 2 women and 1 in 3 men will develop cancer of some kind in their lifetime according to a recent study by Cancer Research UK.
Most of us have been directly or indirectly affected by the disease.
My family lost my Grandfather to cancer several years ago, and I personally lost someone, who I worked with for over ten years and was very close to, all of a sudden a few Christmases ago.
So I decided at the end of 2015 that each and every year we’d organise to sell AffiliateFix clothing, and in return, all the proceeds would go to help Cancer Research. You can read the full details about the sale in this blog post, but in short, we placed hoodies and t-shirts on sale for a limited two weeks in order to raise some money for charity.
We also added a little extra incentive to those who purchased by declaring that we’d donate a further $10 for each person we saw photographed in our clothing.
I partnered up with Teespring, as they have a partnership with Cancer Research UK and several other charities, in order to ensure that all proceeds went directly into the charities’ pockets. If you want to know how you can set up a Teespring campaign and maybe raise some money for charity, you can check out this previous post.
We’d first and foremost like to thank each and every one of you who kindly donated and bought an item of clothing. As you can see below, both the EU and US campaign “tipped” and we managed to sell 20+ items of clothing.
I’d also like to give a special thank you to those of you who supported the campaign early and sent in your pictures. So a special thank you goes to:
- Elen, Alex and the whole AdsBridge team.
- My good friend Matt and the boys from WOWTrk
- Attilla and his team and a shout out to little Iva (the little girl)
- Our client and friend Alex from StoryTellingMedia
- EntrepreneurFix moderator William from AffiliatesMedia
Just to complete on my promise, below is a screenshot of my personal donation to Cancer Research this morning. I decided to change $’s into £’s and send a little more. You will also see a picture of my late Grandfather Dr. Stuart Brown whom I looked up to immensely and miss very much.
In total, we all managed to raise: £380
Thanks again, everyone. We plan on holding these fundraisers several times a year and hope we can raise even more money for charity and to help beat this horrible shitty disease.
If you’d like to make a one off donation, please do so here.
